2MLF-AC8A is Honeywell’s standard 8-channel current analog input module for MasterLogic-200 PLC, serving as the core signal acquisition card for 4–20mA industrial transmitters (pressure, temperature, flow, liquid level analyzers). It converts continuous analog current signals into high-precision 16-bit digital data for closed-loop control, alarm interlock and historical trending.
Different from voltage input module 2MLF-AV8A, AC8A is optimized for two-wire current loop sensors widely adopted in process industries. Each channel can be independently set to 4–20mA or 0–20mA mode via SoftMaster, with built-in digital filtering and average sampling to suppress field motor/VFD electromagnetic noise. The wire break diagnosis function automatically identifies broken field cables and uploads fault codes to HMI, avoiding blind measurement errors.
Optocoupler isolation completely separates field surge and ground loop interference to protect the PLC backplane bus. Hot-swap design allows online replacement without shutting down the whole rack, minimizing plant downtime.
